THE COOKOUT
Feature: Horror/Comedy
A group of privileged white friends discover the residents of a thriving all-Black town are werewolves protecting themselves from oppression. While confronting their own hypocrisy and complicity in systemic injustice, the group struggles to survive the hunt. Grab a plate...There won't be seconds.

When a group of privileged white friends—Trinity, Theo, Chad, Shamyka, Tony, and Jax—stumble upon Apollo Noir, a thriving all-Black town in Mississippi, they’re invited to its centennial cookout. The town, a utopia of Black excellence and resilience, seems too perfect to be real. But as the night unfolds, the group discovers the town’s deadly secret: its residents are werewolves who use their power to protect themselves from systemic oppression.
As the outsiders navigate the town’s eerie perfection, tensions rise. Trinity, who is biracial but passes for white, feels an unsettling connection to Apollo Noir, while the others grapple with their own hypocrisy and privilege. When Chad goes missing, the group realizes they’ve become prey in a ritual hunt meant to ensure the town’s survival. One by one, they’re picked off, forced to confront their complicity in systemic injustice.
THE COOKOUT is a chilling exploration of race, privilege, and survival, blending social commentary with visceral horror. Grab a plate...there won't be seconds.
