When a laid-back dispensary clerk is held at gunpoint by a desperate robber, he warns him not to open the store’s safe. But the robber doesn’t listen—unleashing something far worse than he could have ever imagined.
Sam, a chill cannabis store clerk, is just trying to vibe through his shift when a masked robber bursts in, demanding cash. Sam obliges, but when the robber insists on raiding the store’s safe, Sam warns him: “You don’t wanna go in the safe.”
Ignoring the warning, the robber forces Sam to open it, only to discover the safe isn’t filled with cash—it’s a portal to a nightmarish void. Mutant cannabis plants burst forth, wrapping the robber in their thorny, frost-tipped tendrils. As the plants drag him into the abyss, his bones crack, his body contorts, and his muffled screams echo through the office.
Sam, now covered in blood and chunks of robber, slams the safe shut with a sigh. “Robbing this place is always a strain.”
THE SAFE is a darkly comedic horror short that blends laid-back stoner vibes with gruesome, over-the-top chaos. It’s Little Shop of Horrors meets Clerks, with a twist so absurd you’ll laugh—and maybe gag—before the credits roll.
